CUSTOM MADE WINDOW SASH

Pictured here are custom made window sash for Linode Inc at the Corn Exchange building. The customer wanted window sash with insulated glass. I usually steer clear from installing insulated glass units in historic sash, but since these units did not have a muntin grid, it was feasible to do. To offset the now heavier sash units, I used pullman tapes instead of weights and chains. These tapes had to be utilized because the use of jamb liners, common in many window replacements are cheap and fail fast. I was also able to match the existing bead profile of the original windows.
