SILL MAINTAINENCE

Since the house is surrounded by a porch, these sills were in great condition and needed minor attention

TOP VIEW OF SILL STRIPPED TO BARE WOOD

After a 100+ years, this is what the Cope House sills look like.  This demonstrates the differences between the quality of the mill stock back then as compared with what we work with today

NEWLY MILLED STOP MOLDING TO MATCH THE ORIGINAL

I have the ability to mill most of the moldings I need in house.  The left is the newly milled molding and the right is the original.  Its considered a best practice to use the original molding if you can, but in this instance, I unfortunately could not.  The next best thing is to match the molding.
